Insurance Blockchain for supply-chain
Using blockchain in the Insurance industry has the potential to use real-time data coming from oracles and IoT sensors to enrich policies and better calculate risks. Settlement can be automated having access to the IoT and the oracles and supply-chain risk can be better evaluated, even online and in real-time, using real-time data and data coming from oracles.
Sensefinity already has a Blockchain solution that includes its own devices to assure the traceability of tracked assets to monitor location, temperature, humidity, time of deliveries, all of these important parameters to calculate and manage risk in supply-chain operations.
The project being proposed is geared towards using this data and the Blockchain to be able to insure supply-chain operations. Its main goals are:
Survey of the existing Sensefinity Blockchain solution and first identification of enhancements.
State of the art analysis regarding Blockchain use for insurance use-cases
Survey or risk models and usage of the proper risk model to model IoT based risk, e.g. temperature and humidity values which can impact the quality of perishable goods
Proposal for Sensefinity Blockchain architecture and tooling
Implementation, testing and analysis of selected architecture and use-cases
